I mean, this completely makes sense for Trump. He is delusional enough to believe this is a winning strategy. His addled brain truly believes this will buy him the votes he needs. He was elected on the strength of an absurd lie that he would build a big, beautiful concrete wall and make Mexico pay for it and then promptly lock her up. So, yeah, this is no crazier than that.

The stupidity of his campaign to think halting negotiations until after the election will do anything but hurt him is really something else

 

Because their parents literally spent from March-Current bitching and moaning about wearing a mask so they've also developed the inability to wear a mask.

 

Is it the campaign or him? I don't think his campaign has that much control of his stupidity, even less now with the 'roids having him on that sugar high thinking everything he does is smart.

 

General comment: I hate when articles talk about the stock market "SOARING!" or "PLUMMETING!! CRASHING!!" on less than a 3% change. The Dow and S&P 500 are still up versus 1 week ago. Short term politics affects the stock market in 98% of cases less than people think it does.

 

Basically, they need to ensure the court is aligned in the republican's power before they lose power. Then they'll think about helping the American people they were elected to serve. Nice.

 

I would say he would find a way to walk it back but then I remembered he "never jokes"

I feel like "the best is yet to come" is his word to associates that the market is about to drop. They have to be manipulating markets for personal gain, and he has to be real confident that they're going to steal the election to do this now.

Shit, when I got my first Paraeducating job I was getting what would be the equivilaent of ~$22K per year which was at least 8K or so more than I had ever made before that I'm pretty sure and I had no idea what to do wth myself having a few thousand in the bank at one time.

Now a full time teacher making (almost!) $50K now and having a two income home and it's...weird. We do have a bunch of savings now but since the baby was born last year it's been relatively stagnant. Making jussst enough to break even I think. BUT the pandemic has actually helped with that because we're not out spending more money on food and shit lol
