I cannot fathom ever making 400k a year lol

 

When this all started, I hoped so badly that a 'Rona bomb would drop on the white house and just wipe out everyone so we could just start from scratch. Looks like I'm finally getting my wish now.

 

I have no issue stating this, combined we make about $70k a year when he's steadily working overtime...where we live...its pretty comfortable. I remember hearing what my Dad made near retirement from CAT thinking it was a ton of money...its really not. Its just so damn cheap to live here.

i just got promoted this year with just over a 100k salary and i would consider that more than living comfortably in denver now. i can't even imagine how much stupid useless shit i'd waste money on with 400k

My partners combined income is around 170k in upstate ny which is pretty good, however she’s doing much better than me because I have debts and she was much more financially savvy than me when we were in our early 20s.

So my mom went to a wake for her boyfriend's father where there was a lot of hugging of strangers aand now she's been feeling nauseous with a sore throat ever since. She knew 2 people there already had, but recovered from, COVID. Currently really scared for her but also don't want to set her off into a panic either. Fuck this virus and fuck Trump

We have “instructional lunch” so I have to teach while kids are eating with their masks off, cool shit

also why can’t teenagers wear their masks over their nose. It isn’t that hard

 

She got a rapid test done a couple months ago when they became more widely available, but not since the wake because it was a few days ago and they're still getting funeral plans together, but we're trying to push her to . She tends to take her health really seriously so I'm sure she will try to get one; she just also has a big heart for those in grief so this was like the one time she's let things slide even a little bit
