I watched Mandy a view months ago and it’s so insane/awesome. I love it.

 

Scare Me is gonna be polarizing, but its plot and narrative device are so unique that it's hard not to appreciate

 

I'm watching it today. I can't wait!

 

today is a light day for me at work, and might just put a movie on in the background as i do notes later.

 

Gotta do Nightmare on Elm Street today after work, and then tonight, I think I'm gonna do two horror-adjacent Spielberg classics - Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

 

depending on how i feel tonight, might make the trip to the drive in for Halloween/The Thing/Night of the Living Dead

 

Blood Harvest was bad but Tiny Tim rules

 

Did you watch this on The Last Drive-In? I thought the interview with his biographer was super interesting. I also thought the film was fun, haha.

 

I did! Some great info on there. It was fun. The lead looking out of the window and Tiny Tim popping up and yelling was so funny

 

One of the movies that freaked me out when I first saw it was the 2006 version of The Hills Have Eyes. I watched it for the second time last night and boy does it not evoke the same feelings anymore. I still respect a few of the “wow they went there” moments, but overall it just falls really flat to me now.

 

Movie feels extremely bleak and doesn’t let up. I guess that was probably the idea though.

 

I watched American Werewolf in London last night and it was sooooo fun. Trying to watch more classics this year. Gonna watch Scanners tonight probably.

 

The original, which was first-watch for me this year, is extremely similar in that respect.

Scanners rules! Cronenberg rules! Folks should watch The Brood this month!

 

i had a reminders list full or horror recs and while redoing my phone layout/shortcuts accidentally deleted them.

the perfect time to lose them. im gonna see if i could build another 1 movie a night list. but if anyone has recs feel free. i havent been watching shudder for the last 3 weeks or so

 

Finally sat down and rewatched Ready or Not. Obviously it's not nearly as suspenseful/surprising when you know what's coming. Still a hell of a good time, though. Samara Weaving is so great. And... Really good at screaming? Haha

 

I got about halfway though rewatching Hereditary before deciding going on with it would be a huge mistake. 2 spoopy.

 

I still have not seen Hereditary

 

Hell yeah just got shipping confirmation on the F13 box set, can't wait.
