Anybody know why I can’t turn on my flashlight from control center? It’s grayed out

@Jason Tate - I finally figured out my “Log A Walk” shortcut. I was making it way too hard. Now it’s just a simple menu asking how long I walked and putting in the calories burned for the 4 options.

It just eventually started working. Didn’t do anything to it except check it a couple hours later

 

The 12.9” pro with magic keyboard and Apple Pencil I think is the perfect non-work device.

 

They moved it down; placed some empty squares before you get to flashlight, timer, calculator, camera which makes it a slight annoyance that its down further. I'm not sure how to rearrange those to get them back at the top. At least that's what I think your problem is.

 

It’s in the same spot for me. It just wouldn’t let me press it. But when I went back to it later it worked fine. Probably just some little bug or something activated by whatever app I had still open

 

This happened to me yesterday as well as a few other times since iOS 14 came out. Just locked and unlocked my phone and it worked fine though!

 

If you do want to rearrange yours, Settings>Control Center lets you slide them up and down in a list, which rearranges the tiles in control center.

I just noticed Apple Music is automatically downloading some albums I've added to my library, I don't remember it ever doing that before.

Edit: Found the "automatic downloads" switch on in Settings.. weird.

 

Six Figures in 6 Days

As soon as I noticed the hype, I put together some icons in my own style, downloaded some widgets, and tried it all out. I thought it looked cool, so I shared a screenshot of it on Twitter. Right away, people started asking about the icons in the screenshot. So I quickly packaged them, uploaded them to Gumroad, and embedded them on a Notion site using Super. All of this took about two hours.

The next day, the tweet had hundreds of retweets, thousands of likes, and over 100k impressions. The day after that, almost a million. The next thing I knew, it was everywhere. My icons got published on notable tech sites like Cult of Mac, iMore, AllThingsTech, and Gridfiti. I think at this time I was around the $6k mark in sales.

Then, MKBHD happened. He shared a video about all of this—using my icons for his setup, and linked them in the description. The next thing I knew, I was making $28 what felt like every 28 seconds. My phone turned into the ultimate dopamine dispenser (if it wasn't already). I had to disable notifications.

The day after, sales jumped from $6k to about $40k, and during the time of this writing, sales are at $116,147 from 4,188 customers.

Uh, this looks good! Last.fm scrobbling is a big feature for me.

 

Yeah, being able to customize what you seen when you open the app is pretty fucking cool. I'm gonna give this a try for the next week.

 

I took the plunge and got one yesterday. I like swiping between faces haha.

 

My only issue is the lack of iPad version. Marvis has that though, so I’m gonna check that out this weekend.

 

My fiancé is loving the new apple watch SE, thanks to those who recommended! Really sharp display, too

 

becoming a bit obsessed with the health app now I have the watch keeping track of so many things.

is there a reason why someone would want to use a third party app to track things like caffeine and water intake over just using the shortcut to log it?
