The Chorus.Fm Users Definitive Albums List

This was done a few times on Ap.net and was usually fun. Inspired by convos in the Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums List forum thread, it could be fun to do the first version of one of these lists for Chorus.

Basically, you can interpret it however you want. Rank your 50 favorite albums ever. Rank the 50 albums you think are objectively the best. Rank 50 albums by unknown artists on Bandcamp from Malaysia to give them a shine since no one else does. Whatever you want. The only "rule" is that you rank 50 albums. Points will be assigned in reverse order (#1 album gets 50 points/#50 gets 1). Obviously, with this, an album that you rank 50th has less of a chance of making the final list.

I can throw up an excel sheet together for this. But PM me your lists, or post them in here if you aren't a cuck coward, and I will put them in a master excel sheet that I can then use to tabulate the final master list. Ideally, if we get enough participants, we will have enough lists and nominations to fill a full 500 album list. If not, we can cross that hurdle when we get to it and decide how many albums to do in the end. Tag your friends here that you think might be interested in participating and, most of all, make sure to rank one Oasis album in the top 10 and delete any Blur/Gorillaz albums to save me the trouble of doing it for you. Thanks!

If you're a person who cares about visibility or diversity on lists (as you probably should) and you’ve shit on previous staff/poster lists (as I have), you should take part in this! It’s weak as hell to be like “blink 182 will have 5 albums in the top 10” and then not get involved! Get as many diverse voices as possible!!!
