Bummer! Saw a couple positive critic reviews so I thought it might have some redeeming value.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

well I should say the limit of my Argento knowledge is Suspiria, Inferno, MoT and Phenomena so take this with a grain of salt. but yeah I thought Mother was absolutely woeful, I was grimacing through most of it

  3. Adding a couple more to my October watch list: Braindead and Street Trash. I know very little about both so I’m excited to dive into what is surely to be a couple of awful and fun movies.

Adding to the horror podcast recommendations, there’s a weekly show/podcast on YouTube that I love checking out called “The Thing with Two Heads” that stars Sean Clark (host of Horror’s Hallowed Grounds) & academy award-winning makeup artist Christopher Nelson. Here’s the link for the newest episode (with Matthew Lillard as their guest):

What are the best werewolf movies?

I like American Werewolf in London and Silver Bullet but I haven’t seen many others I’ve liked.

I think I need to go back and watch Basket Case again. I might've been too drunk or just not paying attention, but it didn't leave a mark on me like Brain Damage and Frankenhooker did. Plus, I wanna watch 2-3

  9. Teen Wolf, duh :-)

  10. Basket Case is special. But boy, I did not like Street Trash lol

Dog Soldiers, Ginger Snaps, the Howling. Late Phases was pretty good. Comedy wise, WolfCop was fucking awesome. Brotherhood of the Wolf is more of a French action film, but it’s super rad. Then of course youve got the grand dad of them all with The Wolf Man, but I always found Larry Talbot to not be a very sympathetic character, which is what the entire movie relies on.

  16. It was solid! I honestly wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the original, either -- these are not easy fims to watch -- but it deviates from the original's plot enough to keep you guessing, and the chainsaw is a lot more prevalent. It's gruesome. It's terribly dreary to look at, though, in terms of the color of the film, and it seems to have started a lot of random tropes that would appear in lesser horror remakes down the line (weird shit in jars, people who appear dirty for no apparent reason, people watching old television also for no reason). Worth the watch, but not one of my favorites.

Shit. In today’s climate, hard to tell if that’s a bad sign or not. I wonder if they aren’t confident in it.
