I have a 4tb external on my ps4 pro and a 3tb on my one x and I have 5 tb on my pc and I have fast internet with no data cap. lmfao.

I don’t care about the install sizes as I always have plenty of room. not everyone has externals and fast internet that’s why I post them.

while I personally don't care about the install sizes of specific games, I do think the trend is interesting. we went from <10GB to 100Gb within a gen.

yes but not by as much. Thanks to the ps4 pro and the one x we already have most games shipping with 4k assets, and the fact that SSDs require fewer redundancies might shave off a few GB too. I think from a *scientific* perspective it's very interesting.

Has it been confirmed yet if Fallout and Elder Scrolls are now Xbox exclusives? Even if not I'd imagine Xbox will still get exclusive content.

Most likely not. And Microsoft has pretty much been open to having things on whatever platform because they like money.

At most, I could see DLC coming first to Xbox/PC. Sony has done it the last few years with Call of Duty since they had exclusive rights.

 

Phil Spencer said future exclusivity will be on a case by case basis, so at this point, nobody knows.

I think a lot of it depends on where the Xbox brand is positioned during their release windows. If Microsoft are clearly in need of some sort of boost or a leg up, I’d bet anything they’ll at the very least give those kinds of IPs some length of timed exclusivity. Fully expect smaller (though not “small” by any means) IPs like future Wolfenstein, Dishonored, Prey, etc entries to be full on Xbox exclusives. New IPs? I guess we’ll see.

If Microsoft find themselves in a position of power this gen and don’t feel like they need a boost, I can definitely see them going multiplatform with some of these properties, but I’d be willing to bet they launch on Game Pass before anywhere else.

I'd be willing to bet anything from BGS stays multiplatform. Starfield could be a timed exclusive but will eventually come to PS5. Their games are too popular and sell too well for MS to leave that money on the table. Also work on Starfield for PS5 is probably far enough along that it wouldn't make sense to throw it out at this point.

I think everything else is fair game to become Xbox/PC exclusive.
