yeah I read the one on here about it. It makes me wonder how many amazing things he's recorded and just kept lying around not thinking to release them.

 

I really love this album, but man.... the production quality is pretty poor. Makes it hard to listen to for the most part, and it's a shame how buried and muddy most of the instruments sound

 

That's a big part of why I haven't really tried again on this album

 

i don't really have an issue with the production. it's not the strong point of the album for sure, but it doesn't really detract from my enjoyment of it.

 

odd....to me it sounds way better than FANSD. i can't for the life of me get into that album except for maybe 1 or 2 songs.

 

It's a simple comparison for me. Play the first song off both albums back to back, Bummin is very obviously more muffled and way harder to focus on each instrument separately, esp lead guitar and vocals

 

Hey everyone... the Marigold intro that has been oft discussed is a pre-gap track on the CD version of this album. It's very pretty, and very similar to the pre-gap for Forget and Not Slow Down

Got my CD in the mail this weekend, will probably rarely use it haha,

 

I haven't listened to this the first week it came out. It's decent, but it hasn't kept my attention.

 

I've listened to this 2-3 times a day since it released. Love it.

 

hasn't really kept my attention either. local construction is definitely the song i think about coming back to the most though. one of their best in my opinion.

 

I love listening to this album on warm late-night summer walks with my dog.

 

I dunno if I should be posting it straight up, but well.... you know what to do

 

I went on a cleaning binge this weekend and had this album on repeat for about 3 hours. I love it.

 

This is probably my AOTY right now.

 

This and the new Watsky album are my AOTY. I haven't been very hyped about much else this year.

I've been listening to my track list in the car and it makes the album sooo much better. Honestly it'd have a shot at my AOTY if that was the album.

 

Leaving out Runnin' is pure insanity, and Elephant Parade is so dynamic and well crafted, I don't understand cutting that either
