Woke up wanting to watch The Faculty randomly and happy to find that it’s available through the CBS Access app. I’d happily rent it for 3 bucks but if I don’t have to, that works for me.

might wait and watch it on October 1st but I think I want to watch things I’ve never seen before in October. So tomorrow will be a great double header of The Faculty and Idle Hands.

One of my favorites. Wish that and From Dusk Til Dawn would get Scream Factory releases

Spiral (2019) was great but that was heavy.

  4. City of the Living Dead was bonkers and a little nonsensical, but also a total blast. Definitely recommend catching that one on Shudder.

    I've never seen Idle Hands.

Watched Wes Craven's New Nightmare tonight, earthquakes are a pretty big part of the movie, they filmed a lot of damage from the Northridge quake. And then of course we have an earthquake right after it's over.

I know it’s the most generic answer, but Stephen King’s catalog is always gonna be one of the best. I also love reading a lot of Lovecraft work, and I more recently started Peter Straub’s Lost Boy, Lost Girl which I’m liking. Haven’t gotten a chance to get too far into it yet though because I’ve been moving.

Silver Bullet is an underrated King adaptation

Blob remake also excellent, saw it a bunch as a kid but then later as an adult learned Frank Darabont was a co-writer and a few actors in it would later appear in his films

  12. I’ve been getting a ton of horror movies to add to my Plex server, in preparation for October. So excited to watch some I’ve never seen before and all the classics too. It’s nice working from home because I can put a movie on while I work. So I should be able to get through quite a few next month.

  13. Are movies like Black X-Mas and Better Watch Out more enjoyable to watch around Halloween, or Christmas, like Krampus is?

Just started High Tension. This film gets a lot wrong, but holy shit the music and atmosphere are amazing.

Nah I watch it once a year. I feel like it’s main flaws are in its logistics, but it’s not too difficult to look past.

I’ve only seen it once like 15 years ago and the twist ending turn me off from a rather enjoyable and thrilling movie

Yes I agree. Don’t get me wrong..I love the film, but I wish they would’ve just scrapped the psych component and kept it as a straight forward slasher.

Yeah I liked it until the end which made me hate the whole thing.

I’ve personally adjusted to the ending over the years. Having just seen the film again a couple months ago, some of the events lined up but others just seemed illogical to me, and I don’t think all of the events are meant to be gone over with a fine-tooth comb. It’s all psychological in the end.
