Yeah, it's rough because I want to like the movie because once Victor is introduced it becomes a fun slasher. It's just hard to ignore it.

It's very much that. The homophobia is literally the first scene in the movie so you can't miss it.

Okay...huge question for everyone in here. One film has evaded me for years, but recently I've been on a quest to find it. The only thing I have is one measly image in my head from when I was like 6...

Two male teens in a basement/woodshop-looking location with a table saw running. A hand comes forward and grabs one of the teens by the head and pulls him, horizontally, on the table through the table saw. The other teen looks up in horror. I don't know why, but for some reason I imagine SOMEONE in the scene wearing those yellow latex cleaning gloves.

I keep thinking I may be combining some slasher flick with "the sink" scene from The Blob remake...but I refuse to give up hope that the aforementioned situation exists on film.

not sure about that one but I hate when that happens. I have this image in my head from a movie when I was younger where a kid is running around in a graveyard and his mom is looking for him and then he kills her. can't for the life of me figure out what it was tho

My partner and I are having a discussion on good entry level horror movies for children that aren’t the obvious ones.

it’s been fun thinking about it for our future child!

  7. Yep. I have one of those impossible to find movies. It was recorded on a blank tape, which leads me to believe it was a TV movie. It had kids running around a museum hiding from a t-rex that had come to life. At the end, the t-rex gets transported back in time, but one of the kids runs towards it at the last minute and winds up going back with it. That may have been the end? I've found plenty of movies with similar plots, but can't for the life of me find this specific movie.

1BR is messed up. Reminds me of another film that I don’t want to spoil.

i came across this thread where the producer is posting a lot. There are mentions of 2 different endings that might be included in a future release.

I had that happen to me for years with a movie that scared me very badly as a kid. My older sister had let me see it with her friends when she was babysitting. It was this extremely creepy wooden man that came to life and killed people. I had nightmares about him.

I wound up finally finding it and it was called The Fear.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I saw it almost alone in a small theatre and it was powerful and very impactful for me (having loved The Shining since I was a very young kid)

that being said I'm upset I couldn't see the director's cut on the big screen ha

Just seeing this, but yes! Such a good series. No-End House was my favorite season.

David Marmor was on the Scarred for Life podcast recently talking about 1BR. It was a good listen!

Trying to decide if I want to sleep tonight or watch Spiral. I have to get up early.

might just finish the last episode of Eli Roth’s history of horror
