I find it weird how the apology shifts to thanking people for supporting them and funding their career. Odd to make it about yourself when you were complicit in someone else's abuse and allowed them to continue having a career, amongst other things. The apology should not be about your career at all.

I haven’t posted in ages. I can’t speak of anything else this guy has done but knowing SEVERAL people on the bus bmth at the time of the “pee-ing” incident have come forth in the past and even have documented evidence the authorities have seen which is why nothing ever came from it.

Again, I don’t claim to know anything else this guy has done. Knowing a handful of people who have been employed by him for many years the guy has owned up to his mistakes and has made great strides to where it doesn’t take away from what he did but it shows he acknowledges what he did in the past was incredibly wrong.

As for peeing on a girl. Nah.

Isn’t there documented evidence that he recently physically abused his (now ex?) girlfriend? That’s another incident I was referring to. Saw stuff about it in the BMTH thread.

Like I mentioned I don’t claim to know much about his life other than what friends who have toured and employed by him have said. I never mentioned anything about that or condoned the behavior. I do believe he found out his wife was cheating on him when he was trying to quit a long-standing drug habit, regardless that doesn’t excuse the actions if that was the case.
As I mentioned above I was simply commenting on his ever present “he pissed on a girl” thing that’s been floating around for over 10 years. Given the fact he was never charged, prosecuted or even settled out of court when the police were called to the scene.

His ex-wife has stood by her claims that he was physically and verbally abusive, but he told a sob story about how she cheated on him and it seems like most people used that as an excuse to magically forget and refute her claims.

Just because he was never charged, prosecuted, or the case never settled out of court does not mean it never happened...

Also they were only married for a year from 2015 to 2016 so it wasn't all that long ago. At the age of 27/28 you should already know better than to slap and spit on your wife.

  14. I wish (and trust me, I know this is pure fantasy) instead of simply cutting ties with these bands and calling it a day, labels would take a good hard look at themselves and the role they play in perpetuating this kind of behavior.

Dude, Kayla explained you you that these types of compliments were completely unnecessary like, a month ago. Please knock it off. TOP has a massive young following with many BIPOC fans who are feeling let down, hurt, and cast aside right now. That’s what matters and should be at the forefront of the conversation.

Him "going through a rough time" is irrelevant, then saying something like "the guy has owned up to his mistakes and has made great strides to where it doesn’t take away from what he did but it shows he acknowledges what he did in the past was incredibly wrong" is incredibly weird when you're just refuting one claim and the mention of the more recent abuse comes to play which completely contradicts that entire part you included that could have very well been left out since it is false and also irrelevant.

Fun Fact: Just because people in this thread disapprove of a band you like, that doesn't mean you have to argue with them!

If you feel uncomfortable by other people's opinions about problematic artists, think about your values and come to your own conclusions! No one's making you agree with them!

But if you feel the need to invade people's safe space and say "it's not as bad as most people think, I'm not a bad person for liking this band, uwu" then you're sorely missing the point of this thread.

That wasn't their point, I thought...

I think they are saying people are getting called out for saying they disliked a controversial band, yet a page later those people will call a band bad or boring themselves.

A band or artist being good is subjective, and more the point, fucking irrelevant in this thread.

Assuming this is directed at me, that’s not even remotely what I was saying and I’m not really sure how you got that impression from my post to be honest. My point is that we should always be centering the groups who are hurt by someone’s actions. In this case, it’s Black TOP fans who feel let down and hurt by Tyler’s actions.

I’m going to go ahead and delete my posts because they’re simply being taken out of the way I am trying to present them and making me out to be blaming victims, which I’m not!

I’ll say it again I believe every victim, I believe every word. I’ve had people near and dear be victims(some have even been reposted on this site) and I stand with this girl because nothing is going to take away from the fact that she IS a victim and will always be for how she was made to feel. I never once said she wasn’t a victim. If it was implied because I gave a little more of abackstory that not a lot of people know than I’m sorry.

If someone cares to message me and possibly inform me without making it a witch hunt than please message me. My intent of this post was not ment to ever say theone girl was not a victim because the simple fact is she is.
