Links Awakening deff the GOAT

 

Link's Awakening is arguably the best top-down Zelda, but best overall is still Wind Waker. I would also rank OoT, MM, BotW, and TP above pretty much all of the top-down games though, but that's just me.

 

Yeah I haven't played anything between MM and BOTW. I plan on it now though. I have OoT and MM on 3DS at least. I also really want to play Link Between Worlds on 3DS as well though.

It has a weird charm about it for me, but that's just nostalgia. Definitely not great.

 

I hate that I’ve never played Wind Waker. Want that game ported to Switch so bad

 

I bought at Wii U specifically for the Zelda WW HD remake and for BOTW... it’s basically my Zelda/Paper Mario machine.

The only game I feel like I wish they did a “remastered” version of was Paper Mario’s The Thousand Year Door... thankfully those games graphics (like WW) hold up enough without it, but still.

 

some website is saying the Mario anniversary is getting announced this week but i don't believe it

It's not true. Just forget about the Mario Remasters at this point. If they happen, cool. But until Nintendo decides to get up off their asses and actually announce something, no point in believing any likely-phony internet rumors.

everyone's getting all antsy and impatient for some news regarding Mario remasters, but like..... did Nintendo themselves EVER actually say anything about that in the first place? or didn't the rumor come from some web retailer having a placeholder for mario titles on their store for switch?
