Poor Grimer. He never stood a chance. At least Porygon will be a ton of fun. It's shiny line is beautiful.

Also, I hope we never get another Gen 1 Community Day again after these two.

 

I miss the old rotation of each generation of starters getting shinies

 

Yeah I think the starter - other Poke - starter CD lineups caught up with Niantic too fast.

Now stuck with this mess.

Even something like Spheal would be a great Community Day. Walrein is a beast, and I always thought the Spheal line would have been great as a starter.

 

TIL I suck at catching Heatran.

 

Of course I get a shiny Heatran by doing 5 raids. No way I could have gotten Deoxys or Genesect with the 100 raids I've done.

 

2 and 4 star raids are being removed from the game (presumably to make room for Mega Raids) - they will be combining 1 and 2 star pokemon and 3 and 4 star pokemon into two distinct groups. which i guess it sort of already is like that anyway, you know a pink egg is 1 or 2 stars, yellow egg is 3 or 4.

 

I had such a weird relationship with this game. I LOVED it, then slowed down, then LOVED it again, and now I can never see myself picking back up again. So much weird stuff I always thought was going to get addressed that never did.

i guess i'm failing to see the point of mega pokemon especially if they're temporary? like is it just to look cool/be a dex entry?

 

The mega evolutions are temporary in the main series games, like it’s something you can activate once per battle. So I’m guessing they just wanted to keep it the same here.

 

I think the "point" is a mix between them looking cool, being dex entries, and I think they help/change the battle system drastically if you are into battling

 

yeah it'll definitely be a battle strategy, but holy shit do they need to make battle rewards better if youre going to grind for mega energy and spend it on a battle lol

 

Yeah I still haven't played the battle league since I got my Rufflet, lol

 

all i get as rewards are fucking tepigs lol

Fixed that for you. They are only rolling out Beedrill and the Gen 1 starters at first.
