I’m not sure why, but after watching The Hunt I went back and watched The Belko Experiment. Similar feelings towards it still. Very meh, but still decent. Also with all the news of The Suicide Squad today, there are three suicide squad members in it, and of course the writer of Belko is the director of TSS.

Just watched Haunt. I liked it, just expected it to change gears at some point with the way I heard it hyped up. Hasn't that same concept been done a couple times at this point?

    Doing fine. Prestigious

Haunt doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, which I personally think why it was so good. It embraces the formula and was very effective. It’s also been a while since I’ve watched it, so I may have forgotten something haha.

I didn't appreciate Hawke's movies growing up but I do now. Great actor, that movie is looking stacked.

Also, Drew did a First We Feast interview this past week and talked briefly about why she took the role she did in Scream (jump to 3:10):

This weekend I (re)watched Haunt and checked out Lifeforce and Strange Behavior (Dead Kids) for the first time. I couldn't really get into Lifeforce as much as I wanted to (Tobe Hooper and Dan O'Bannon??) but it was still a fun ride. Strange Behavior was a blast, thanks to the user in this thread who recommended it in their list of Shudder recs. The whole "ozploitation" thing is fascinating.

Watched my new Vamp Blu-ray yesterday, it’s seriously one of the most underrated 80s vampire films

Random Acts of Violence and Fantasy Island were so bad, no excuse for the latter.

Watched Don't Breath last night. I really enjoyed it, but wasn't a fan of how they had to demonize the old man. The people breaking into the house are bad people. Making the man bad doesn't make me change my mind about shitty people robbing houses. It was frustrating all around. The concept of the movie was great and a lot of fun. I'd probably call it horror adjacent and not necessarily a horror movie.

This, along with some purposeful bad decisions in order to keep the movie going made me not really love this movie. But also, the basement scene is dreadful to watch.
