Again, isn't Pat a Barstool guy? I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to bring in that audience.

 

Or trying to convert AEW fans off of it; also he has some ESPN ties still, so maybe a work around that.

I think Lucha Underground is the only company to get "if we do this weird thing, maybe it'll hook fans" thing right. Angelico jumping off the balcony, some of the Pentagon season 1 stuff...it was all so graphic and perfectly viral.

That Mox/Omega match had a little, and obvious AJ/Taker did as well...but neither company has leaned into it much beyond that
