Just filed my take on this, it's running next week! Really curious to see what you all make of it.

 

If people buy into this they'll love it. Their vision and execution is much bigger and better than it was on EIYA.

I expect it'll grow on me so I can't say how much I like it yet, other than saying that Poisoned Heart is probably my favourite song they've done.

 

I didn't listen to any of the singles that much before the album came out, but now that I'm hearing the album, this is great. This just feels like great Mid-2000's Alternative Rock. Like JM said above me, this album just feels like it has a grander scope than their previous work.

Also, I love how this album is very hook-driven. There are so many riffs and vocal runs that jusg get stuck in your head. Hard to imagine this album failing.

 

These interludes are interesting.

Well this made me well up with tears. I love this band so much.

 

I love this band a lot.

I was pretty worried about this reinvention but everything I have heard is fantastic. Annabelle and Poisoned Heart in particular are great.

 

I wasn't huge on Cyanide at first but damn this fits the atmosphere of this album so well.

 

I wasn’t super keen on a lot of the songs I’d heard pre today but damn this albums so good. Part of it was probably me adjusting to their new sound but I’m enjoying them a lot more now they’re within the context of the album.

I love it when Will ups his goth side on the second half of this album. The run between Paradise to Napalm Girls

I didn't listen to any of the singles but given some of the reactions was a little sceptical. As soon as Be My End hit I wasn't sure if this was MCR or The Matches and it was pretty great. Had 1 listen through and really liked it but will spend more time with it. Really loving it so far!

 

Their main stage set at Trees next year is going to be so good when they mix up all the songs from this into their already stacked set.
