I'll settle for getting to the point where I can see "AOC" and not have my blood pressure double at the thought of the comment section.

 

haha, before my brother passed and I got his car, the “newest” car I had ever owned was a 2003 Honda Accord. At the time it happened, I was driving a 2001 Corolla.so going from those cars to a 2012 Acura in 2017/18 was a huge culture shock.

I/we FINALLY had money to buy “new” car a few months back, a 2017 outback. I def feel out of place in it considering my mom never really had a “new” car either when I was growing up/lived with her.

I drove my 2000 ford escort, one of the shittiest cars ever made lol, until it literally fell apart. like, literally. the engine fell out of the car in 2018. im good with having a new car now. i put my time in lol.

 

My last car was a 1999 Nissan Sentra and let me tell you, fuck that car.

 

I reallly want AOC to challenge Schumer In 2022 and win

but the party would never let that happen

 

My OG car was a '98 Plymouth Grand Voyager that fell apart bit by bit until it died in its sleep. No rear view mirror, no horn, no stereo, only brights, no AC, no back windshield wiper, odometer died around 350k (kept going for another year after), the speedometer only occasionally worked, one side view mirror, no center console (i don't even know how that shit broke but it did), and only front seats because someone stole my back seats. I miss it every day.

 

My first car was a 2005 Toyota Corolla which was my dads car that he gave to me for my 17th birthday. 175,000 miles on it and was still running well until I totaled it.

now I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Thinking I’ll keep this for a few more years and start looking at getting a hybrid for a new car

 

I’m still bummed about my 2003 accord. I got in like 2014ish or so and it only had 128K on it and was running great. Shit was gonna last forever. Then I got rear ended by some jackass at a redlight in a hit and run. Totaled it.

 

Ford tempo, ford Taurus, ford fiesta, ford focus and now a ford explorer

 

got me a mazda cx5

my wife’s 09 accord will probably get traded in in another year or two. she kinda wants the suv tesla but i’m trying to talk her into a leaf or something else instead

 

I have an 06 accord that I haven’t driven since March and I’m not looking forward to having to work on it since it’s totally dead now

 

so is there a particular brand you like or what

Worst car I ever owned was a 2004 Mazda 3

 

i drive an 09 ford escape. ive had to put a lot of money into it, it had 80k miles on it when i got it and its up to 123k. probably put around three to four thousand dollars worth of work into it in the three years since ive had it but i plan on driving it until it literally wont drive anymore

But the only non luxury brands my company owns in my area are ford and Toyota and I liked the explorer more than the highlander

 

my wife and I bought a cx5 in November. Those three were the ones we considered as well.

My wife is the only one that uses the car so it was primarily her choice and she fell in love with the cx-5. They were all great but her primary motivators were performance and aesthetic. And the cx-5 drove the best and looked the coolest.

If we had a bigger family or used our car to take camping trips or whatever, we probably would have gone with the Forrester. I loved a lot about that car.
