I took back my remarks about China. I was being stupid. There are things that I believe in that I will stand by though as I've finally found my confidence (especially within a group of aggressive men in this thread) to do so.

 

Just wondering if anyone else is afraid of the inevitable backlash that's going to happen from anti-racism trainings etc being implemented in institutions, the protests, the removal of racist statues, people in media/journalists getting fired from jobs, doxxing from "woke" people if someone says something they don't like? I'm getting nervous because it all seems well and good now and that we are "winning" but it is insanely naive to think this will be able to be sustained and that it eventually won't end in a bad way. What I mainly fear is an insane maniac (even more so than Trump) will emerge from this and will easily get elected. one of the reasons Trump was elected in the first place was because of the people who thought their rights were in jeopardy...can't even imagine what kind of person will emerge from the current situation and it's scary to think about. I also heard on a podcast gun sales are up among rural people that are first time buyers and it makes me fear people are preparing for an inevitable conflict.

why the fuck do people still support Tesla? This guy has been handed everything his whole life, he’s a scam.

Take a look into the NY Gigaplant he built in Buffalo for the Tesla solar panel production. NY state built him a plant AND provided all of the manufacturing machinery, to the tune of almost $700M. He made a promise to bring 1,500 jobs...2 years later, less than 400 people work at the plant and the solar panel business is tanking.

Stop corporate handouts...

 

Like I told Lorand... I didn't mean to ignore any people that were legitimately trying to have a discussion...I was working and was trying to respond quickly and only replied to the stuff I saw and not fully. For every good discussion point the next one would be dragging me and it got overwhelming and stressful so I just gave up.

Can someone explain to me why the media has largely stopped giving significant coverage to the protests? I mean CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, etc. were all constantly posting about/talking about the protests and then that constant coverage just kind of...stopped, despite the protests still continuing.

Yeah but back around two months ago there was non stop coverage on the news shows on TV. I get that there are other things in the news but it seems like the protests went from the dominating coverage to nearly...non existent, at least on TV.
