I remember saying some bullshit on AP about the Washington football team in like 2010 that was like “why is everyone so upset about the name now it’s been around for decades?”

I couldn’t begin to document the shitty things I said and did on AP. I legit terrorized people. I was a nightmare of a human and I feel guilty about all of those interactions.

I know this is a lot of guys but I also cringe the way I objectified women when I was like 19-23ish years old. I did it as a high schooler too but I def did some gross 'flirting' as a young adult that I'm not happy about. Makes me feel like shit when I think about how I might have made women I'm still friends with today uncomfortable at one point.

Related, I can confirm that young people's ideas of "flirting" by just being overly sexual at each other has not changed much, if my students are any indication. THe amount of stuff I have to pretend I don't hear every day in class is....well it's one thing i am NOT missing about in-person instruction.
