An update on our monarchs: Our remaining butterfly Jean broke out of her chrysalis yesterday and we released her last night.
Also, @thesoftskeleton I don’t think I replied back to you the other day; my FIL randomly showed up one day with a “kit” for us lol, but he got it from a butterfly sanctuary in town. It had lot of info on monarchs and their life cycle, where to get extra milkweed, the caterpillars, and a mesh enclosure to house them. My kids really loved it and it was nice that since the sanctuary is a nonprofit, everything went back into maintaining the gardens.

I got off the phone with the staffing agency almost immediately bc he was like oh I don’t have anything for you in that skill level or pay range so I’m like well okay

Not even 2 min later I get a call from another person from the place and I’m like I literally just talked to someone named Luke and he was like oh that was my partner
I’m like ??? Well then maybe y’all should get on the same page lmaooo

and literally he opened it with “I saw your resume on monster” then is like oh I am in manufacturing and production would you be interested in that? Ok so you “saw” my resume on monster but didn’t look at it...at all? Cool cool cool stop wasting my timeeee

 

Yeah, that drives me nuts about staffing agencies and why i ignore their outreach. They clearly never looked at your resume before you responded because it's always so fucking unrelated.

 

I found out yesterday the fam I babysit for is going away until the 26th and I'm beyond ecstatic, but then I remembered they're going to Mississippi. So I'm not too thrilled about that and very doubtful they'll quarantine for 2 weeks when they get back. They are moving the week they get back and I know they're going to ask me to help

 

I'm so fucking annoyed with everything today so far.

family. The only reassurance I have is the mom's brother is a dr so hes got a big house and lots of land. Hopefully they just stay there.

i dont love my family enough to go visit any that live in a southern/midwest state for more than like a day. i get off the flight, say hello, and turn back around and get the fuck out.

Pretty much. Thankfully only have family in Georgia and it's a good amount, so i can spend a few days there seeing everyone a different day when visiting and not have to think about the state and its shitty inhabitants for too long.
