I literally just typed this out word for word before changing my post haha. No joke.

  2. Yeah, I really don’t know how you pick the 11. I suppose it could just come down to who’s in best form. You just have to accept a deserving player won’t start.

    I think a 442 could potentially work

    Rashford - Kane
    Sterling - Dele - Henderson - Sancho
    Chilwell - Mings? - Maguire - TAA
    Henderson

That’s assuming everyone (specifically Dele) is in good form. I know I’m biased but when he’s on his game he’s a really good option there. But having the fallback plan of Maddison, Foden, or Grealish is nice.

Central midfield is still a big problem area imo, England definitely lack a top-class defensive-minded midfielder (and have done for years). Don't think Henderson can do that job by himself, plus he is better with a player like Fabinho alongside him.

  4. Winks and Rice still have potential to fill that role. But that is certainly the squad’s weakness.

100%. It's stupid to say, but a Kante would probably make more difference to that side than any other bar Messi.

  6. Etihad would look so much cooler if it wasn't for those stupid poles/wires sticking from the top. I don't understand why the designed it that way.

  7. Jose was bragging about finally having all of his attacking option healthy. Fully expecting him to roll out a lineup without them.

A front four of Kane, Sterling, Sancho plus any of Grealish, Maddison, Foden or even god forbid Dele.

    That is serious attacking strength.

If only we had a good central midfield or central defence...

  10. The lack of a defensive mid option could really hurt them when you consider how slow Maguire is at the back. I like Maguire but I just worry he’d be caught in a lot of counter attacks and get burned (example: Bergwijn). Having a consistently reliable DM could decrease the chances of that happening.

Eric Dier played DCM for the 2018 WC, right?

  12. Umm I can’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure Dier and Henderson saw a lot of time there.

I would rather play Joe Hart at DM than Eric Dier.

    lol that’s fair

I think moving to CB is a good career decision for Dier. I know he gave up the penalty to Pogba but he had a strong game prior to that incident. One of the better midfielders in the world came in with fresh legs and beat him on the line. And while I agree with the penalty decision, like I said before it wasn’t egregious or a David Luiz level play.

He won’t ever be a world better back there but he’s solid and can play on the left or right side.

I’ve always thought Dier was a better CB than midfielder.

Same with Declan Rice. He’s a centre back being played in midfield

I'd 100% recommend avoiding the replies to that tweet. Football Twitter is an absolute cesspit.

This is dumb as we need to keep him imo, but I know finances are in a crazy stupid situation due to COVID-19.

    Edit: Big Barca reporter:

Yeah apparently they're going to basically straight swap the players pretty much, but do high transfer fees and split the two transfers (basically wiring the money backwards and forwards on different dates) to get around FFP. Did the same last year with Cillisen and Neto with Valencia.

This is mad. She provides a photo of an evidence bag somehow and people still claim it's all fake.

Also, anyone who responded to this situation by commenting on the girls looks need to pushed off a high ledge. Cba with all the shitty men in the world.

Leno injury not as bad as first seemed (still missing end of season though) and Xhaka should be back in the coming days.

Twenty minutes later and Martinelli is out with a serious injury.

It's a roller coaster supporting this club...
