I know, and I didn't mean to come off as defending it or minimizing it. It was awful to hear. I guess i'm more speculating on whether AEW will actually take action on it.

I feel like calling people out for cheating is a no-no. Its no ones business.

 

this is the conversation that we really should be having now as a supplement to the accusations/revelations. i'm surprised people don't have bad images of the promotions that just cut these guys loose. for example, wwe has a wellness program for people that abuse alcohol and legal/illegal substances. there should be an additional service to the program that includes some sort of sensitivity training or counseling for these men and women. help isn't always rehab (though, if that's the route jimmy havok is taking, then good luck to him).

again, this isn't me defending the actions they did, this is just a suggestion to help fix the problem, albeit not the only solution.

So, I think its really useful to define why a promotion would cut a rapist or sexual harasser over say, someone who has 3 DUI's.

In the case of alcohol or substance abuse, its entirely possible the harm you are doing is to your self. There's a reason there was a call to fire whichever Uso brother was on his third DUI, because at a certain point you are giving a platform to someone who is constantly endangering other people with reckless choices. But a case like Alicia Fox...I had no idea until her house show incident.

What makes sexual assault worse is you are ALWAYS doing it to someone else. And the statistics show that it is exceedingly rare you've done it just once. Is there rehab for it, sure...but having that person in your locker room as a known threat is irresponsible. All you are doing is giving them the opportunity to cause more harm, and worse, actively paying them for that opportunity. You can pay to send them to rehab while also showing them the door to future work in your company.

Now, in a case like Sammy, where I havent seen reports of him beyond that comment, I think theres a chance for AEW to do something positive. But it also has to be in a way that Sasha doesnt have to get involved or forgive him.

for a company that's supposedly so advance and modern AEW has completely dropped the ball with the Sammy comment, and the allegations against Havoc, Hager, and Justin Roberts

 

Their only goal has been to look better than WWE, not actually be good

 

But even WWE has done more with this than AEW haha

 

Has AEW addressed any of it in any meaningful way?

Also, to anyone out there defending Sammy, do you know how easy it is to never once in your life say, "I want to rape that person" for any reason whatsoever?

I really do feel for her since she was so close to him. (as well as all the survivors).

His gimmick is obviously scummy as all fuck and was alarming but I guess everything he did for women when it came to wrestling and intergender wrestling was a massive cover for his predatory bullshit.
