I used a Visa gift card to purchase an Apple Store gift card, except I purchased an App store gift card by accident. Spent over 3 hours yesterday on the phone with Apple trying to exchange it yesterday. Was cold transferred, disconnected, given the run around multiple times - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I've ever had.

Wasn't resolved. So I have $75 to use on the App store.

No idea what to even use it on.

 

I just buy the $100 app store cards when they are on sale for $80 or whatever and slowly chip away at the them. usually last me a year or so as I still purchase all my media physical for the most part.

thats a good idea. I honestly just have no idea what to use them for. I use Spotify and buy vinyl for music. I guess maybe movies? Can you suggest any other cool apps you bought?

 

that’s awesome. I bought the satechi 3-in-1 which has been fantastic, but that’s only because the AirPower was canceled

 

Sadly I usually use it for the monthly clash of clans pass that is 4.99. :(

Otherwise, not sure what I've bought. I might use it to buy digital only albums as well ie. Anthony Green's would you be with strings. Think I bought Dark Sky, a GIF creating app that I use all the time, and another app that i use for work. But for the most part I use it for games. (It makes me feel better about paying for them when I buy the discounted card.)

 

This might sound a bit silly, but is there an app or website you can follow actors/writers/directors and be notified of new work done by them ? I thought IMDB was gonna be the obvious choice, but doesn’t seem like you can.

 

Shoutout UPS cause my MacBook was supposed to be here by 9 pm but it's 8:52 pm and I still don't have it.

 

Question - I own 30 Rock via iTunes and also have a Hulu subscription.

Is there a way to designate which service I stream the show through? When I finish an episode in iTunes, the next ep wants to play through Hulu. Would be nice to avoid the commercials if I could.

 

Unfortunately I don't think there is... surprisingly. There is fan site's for a decent amount of actors that you could probably throw into a feedly type app but otherwise I don't think there is. Sadly.

 

TVDB has an API that does that I believe.

 

1 Hour to be disappointed in no new iMac (non-Pro) and apparently any other hardware.

 

They don't really do hardware at WWDC. Software is the star of the show usually.

 

I’m excited to see what’s new in iOS 14.

 

I hope they take Shortcuts to the next level.
