One of those situations where it makes me wonder how much say the lead singer has on lyrics and messaging vs the rest of the band. Although you would think if a member of a band disagreed strongly they would leave the band but idk success makes people put up with a lot but it’s not likely they were an immediate hit and / or changed their “vision” so to speak so that take is baffling
