It’s almost comical how useless Jacob Frey is. He has been basically completely absent for the past 4-5 days. But for maybe a couple of press conferences, there would not even been any proof that he has even been in Minnesota for the past week lmao. Even his social media is almost entirely just a bulletin board warning people to obey the law and stay safe. It’s like playing the Biden tactic of trying to lay as low as possible until this blows over, as if he isn’t already the elected official with responsibilities lol

compare that to Ilhan Omar, who basically turned her district office into a food drive, has been all over the city for the past week, and has been using social media to promote other groups doing good in the community while also sharing videos of horrible shit the cops have been doing in Mpls. I was at a rally today over the School Board’s decision to stop using MPD as resource officers in schools, and Ilhan was a kind of surprise guest speaker at the end and the ~500 people there went absolutely nuts, piling in closer like she was a celebrity (obviously she’s bound to be popular with that crowd but it still felt pretty wild to see)

Meanwhile I don’t think Frey has said a word about the fact that HIS city’s public schools are cutting off ties with HIS city’s police force. Which for him to not even acknowledge that in any other time would almost definitely be recognized as absurd, yeah?

Just watched a cop turn directly to the CNN reporeter with teh giant microphone in his hand and the giant TV camera and deicde that they also needed to be pepper sprayed

 

I mean, aside from mask off here, it’s pretty insidious to act like a country profiting off its own resources is bad and needs to be sanctioned over it.
