Yeah the video is obviously more than enough to hold him for long questioning and then charge him. The case is the video and the witnesses. They can easily charge him now if they wanted to.

It probably comes down to that whole bullshit "should we charge him with manslaughter or murder" or etc. I don't know enough about the law to have a valuable opinion though

Yeah, I would think they need something more than the video to charge him with murder as opposed to manslaughter. In the eyes of the law, how do you prove that the officer purposely killed the man? We all see the video and when you kneel on someone’s neck for 10 minutes, it’s hard to imagine any other reason, but I feel like in the eyes of the law they may not see the video as “definitive proof” so they have to interview witnesses and look at all the details. It’ll really suck if he doesn’t get charged with murder though

The video clearly shows second degree murder at least. People are charged with murder with far less evidence everyday

Dude's not gonna get charged with shit, the law protects their own and there's no accountability in place to ensure that. Even if he goes to court, he's gonna walk free. This has happened so much to where I genuinely believe this, wearing a badge nowadays is a license to kill.

Agree. In my post I should have been saying 1st degree murder vs. 2nd degree murder rather than murder vs. manslaughter. Getting less than 2nd degree murder would just be dumb (but considering this is America..can’t say it would be surprising)

FB post from a friend who lives nearish the main area of the Mpls riots. Not that it should matter but also he's a 40-something white guy with a wife/young daughter.

"There are no protesters or rioters near our house. There is a public works facility. Cops just brought someone needing medical attention to the public works lot and pointed their riot weapons at us while we watched from our yard and sidewalk across the street.
Within minutes a dozen police cars and a riot vehicle showed up pointing more guns. I verbally harassed them and called them names. If they come back I'll do it again.
This is the level of poor decisions the MPD makes. They rolled up into a residential area where everyone was minding their own business and started pointing weapons at us. There was a full street and a fence between us."

  22. if you look in the replies somebody mentions the way he walks, which i initially felt was maybe reaching, but if you watch the video of him walking he definitely doesn't walk in a normal cadence and DEFINITELY not like a guy who believes there's any chance of him getting in trouble

  24. From my balcony I can see a park, it’s 92 out and I see zero masks and only one person that has walked by in the last 39 minutes with one. Not a good sign imo.

Are they at least social distancing? When it comes to parks, I feel like unless it is crowded it isn't necessary to wear a mask
