Yeah Leto's Joker was bad. And not even necessarily his performance, which I thought was just okay (although I don't think the scenes he was in gave him much of a chance to show off.) This weird mob boss pimp Joker is just a stupid interpretation of the character.

  3. Jared Leto, I felt, was fine. The art direction of the character (the big rings, the tattoos, etc) is what I don't like.

Here's how I feel, if Suicide Squad 2 was announced, I wouldn't be that excited. I think a Joker/Harley movie that led up to suicide squad would of made suicide squad a better movie.

Yea, thanks for that. I've been doing some editing of the site and haven't fully finished with everything.

Actually, I don't know what's causing that Facebook error. I've looked and looked and there is no broken URL anywhere.

    Ah, fixed it.

Leto is the reason I didn't go see SS. I can't tell if this is a joke or not?

Movies have been doing that since I can remember. I remember thinking Anthony Hopkins was going to be a huge part of MI:2 because he was in so much of the trailers. Same thing with Gary Oldman in Lawless. The Trailer for Amazing Spider-man 2 showed a more in depth relationship of Harry and Peter that was cut from the film entirely. Movies are worked on until the last minute a lot of the time, things can change a lot.

I would personally like it if trailers were made up mostly of deleted/alternate scenes. It'd be so cool to go into a movie and not know what is going to happen while still getting an idea and feel for the movie.

Sometimes there are scenes made specifically for trailers that do not appear in the film. I can't think of examples right now, but that was NOT the case with Suicide Squad.

People need to divorce trailers from their expectations of a film.

The Thing fighting tanks in F4 seemed to be made just for the trailers. I do wonder why they would film such an expensive scene to leave it out though.

I hope they're suing b/c he was left in the movie.

From what I read, that Thing vs tanks scene was shot by a different director in reshoots by the studio to fix the film, but the footage was shot in a way that didn't fit the rest of the movie, so they just used in as footage the government had.

That whole Fan4stic debacle was so fascinating.

It was! I'd love a documentary on it in the vain of The Death of Superman Lives. They showed scenes of Thing fighting tanks on the TV though, so I'm not sure if it was already done why not just show it. The film needed any action.....soooo bad.

This is one of those movies that can't really be spoiled...because there is nothing to spoil. You already know the stakes and it wouldn't make sense if the bad guys win. If a character dies, you aren't connect with them enough to give even a little shit.

You just watch it for the spectacle.

.....but then how will you be apart of the class action lawsuit against WB for a trailer that you didn't like?

  23. I remember being a kid and being so excited that there were talking dogs in the trailer for Snow Dogs. And then it ended up being a 30-second dream sequence, the entirety of which was featured in the trailer. Prepped me for a life of disappointment.

I was really excited in 1998 for Jack Frost because Hanson was in the trailer. Even then I could feel the pull of being manipulated as I sat through the whole thing.
