Yeah, they still aren't making it. Texans and Colts are more likely to.
It is easier though when the division is bad but the conference is good.

Not the Colts. We will do better than the Colts this year. I'm fucking saying that and I believe it.

Texans are our primary obstacle, we'll still get second in the division and be in the hunt/at least have the same record as the 6 seed team

If Luck is hurt, I agree. If Luck bounces back? Doubtful. I think realistically we will split the Colts and Titans and get swept by the Texans.

My thing is Luck being hurt last year doesn't tell the whole story. He also put a lot of his worst tendencies and ways that he is vulnerable on film. I legitimately think he just put himself in a hole by being too aggressive last year because now teams know how to play him.

I think the new Jags defense can rattle him up behind the LOS, take away his easy reads with Jack and Telvin, and force him to be on point if he dares to throw down field.

People would say this any given year no matter who we acquired just because the Jags are known to usually disappoint. To me that's more of a bias and any other team than the Browns and Jags that had these players would have more faith and expectations in them.

The Jags have the roster to break .500, it basically goes back to what Randall said a while ago: Now Gus Bradley has zero excuses.

I have them at 5-8 going into the final division push. If they win their last three games, they barely miss the division and the wild card which is exactly how good this team should be.

The schedule is not great. Vikings, Packers, Chiefs, Broncos, and Raiders is a tough lineup. Plus Houston could actually be good. The Chargers, Bills, and Ravens could cause problems too. The Lions, Bears, and Titans are the only surefire wins.

  11. Panthers v Cards is going to be an awesome watch this year.

Panthers get KB back. Cards get Badger back (he missed the beatdown in the playoffs).

I think those are the top two teams again in the NFC. But you can never count out GB. And Vikings could continue to improve. Seattle will obviously still be a good team but it's hard to judge how far they can go.

Not to mention Palmer won't be playing with a fucked up hand (hopefully). It'll be a great matchup.

We should absolutely beat the Bears week 1 and that terrifies me

Hopefully third time is the charm and they beat the Panthers.

  15. Hey, if Brock The Cock can live up to the hype you guys are golden. He's the weapons around him to succeed.

  16. My biggest worry with Cam this season is how he handles the return of Kelvin. He's been known to force the ball to his top WR in the past. First with Smitty and then with Kelvin. Last year he didn't have a top guy. He was forced to spread the ball around and it made him, and the entire offense, so much better. Now that he gets his guy back I'm scared he might go back to forcing the ball to Kelvin. Funchess is developing nicely though so hopefully I'm just being a paranoid fan.

Speak for yourself man I think the dynamic of most teams just being beyond us is about to disappear. We are going to surprise some really good teams. Yeah, I'm kinda scared of the Chiefs for example... but with our explosive offense and recently extremely athletic defense, I honestly think it's only a matter of time before teams aren't excited about playing us either.

I just think "tough schedule" isn't a barrier so much as a measuring stick when the team starts to get good. Im not just hoping to get lucky and escape with lucky wins. I think we're on our way to, straight up, having a receiving corps that can beat Marcus Peters and Eric Berry and a D line that can stuff Jamaal Charles. How about if Rodgers doesn't immediately return to playing lights out and the Jags shock the Packers in a close 27 to 24 battle in week 1? Or even if we lose that game by a field goal after having the lead at some points? What do you say about 9-7 then? For me it's all of a sudden much more believable because then you're like, yep, these players are as good as we thought. That would be more of a confirmation than a shock to me if that happened.

I get why you're reserved in your assessment but I think with the players we have, we should go 9-7 no matter who is in the way. Its not like we play the Patriots 16 times, all but maybe two of our opponents have vulnerabilities that we have the tools to potentially take advantage of on our roster. We didn't before, but we have that kind of talent now. Now is Gus Bradley's time to respond. Good teams should beat other good teams regularly. If we're not a good team with that defense and that receiving corps there is something, just, wrong in terms of coaching and strategy.

I think the AFC will come down to Patriots and Steelers.

NFC: Cardinals vs. Panthers (maybe Packers)

    AFC prediction: Steelers @ Chiefs

    NFC prediction: Vikings @ Panthers

We aren't one of the best teams in the league. That's what it means to shut down an elite RB and throw all over an elite secondary. We could surprise people with the Packers. But I don't think we do.

This is maybe a 9-7 team. Definitely no longer a Top 10 draft pick team though.

Bengals won't get near the playoffs this year.

    3-13 at best.

Steelers barely made the playoffs last year, get worse, and make the AFC championship/SB this year? OK haha.
