Watched The Wretched today. Was hoping it'd be more spooky, but it was fine. The twist sucked but didn't bother me.

Well In Fabric is delightfully weird and having watched a fair amount of Argento as of late I could see his influence on it a great deal.

I’m torn on this. Absolute die-hard fan, and love just about everything Neve has done. Just don’t know how confident I can feel considering the terrible series and Wes Craven’s passing.

 

Not sure if anyone hasn’t been watching, but this season of What We Do In the Shadows has been hilarious.

I didn't like how they justified the rewind at the beginning. The twist felt like they were hitting me in the head with a hammer.

 

Hmmmm Kevin James is already so unlikable that I don't think I have any interest in watching him play a nazi

Finally got around to watching The Lodge. Was pretty disappointed afterwards. Wasn’t terrible but wasn’t very good either.

 

Giving that one a watch today. Picked up a couple of VERY cheap DVD copies of Critters Attack! and It Comes at Night for the rest of the weekend.

 

It comes at night is so god damn good

 

I've actually only seen it once, but I loved it and remember thinking it was very underrated

 

The Lodge was good! I had heard mixed things, but I'm very glad I avoided spoilers because it was a ride. A little slow at times, but never in a way that was uninteresting - more so like, okay, we got it, let's move things forward please. Very disturbing in a way I wasn't expecting.

We really are spoiled when it comes to horror right now. I couldn't help but think of the legacy a movie like this would've had were it released in the late 70s.

Just watched Under the Shadow. Ended up loving it after I turned off the dub. God damn that was annoying. It's weird how horror films with was backdrops don't even need to do the horror stuff to be scary sometimes.

 

Watching Event Horizon. Just found out Adam Wingard is set to produce a TV series for Amazon. Fucking pumped for that.

 

Been wanting to watch this.
