In regards to that Eagles defense thing, I just saw something that I found interesting. Apparently when Brandon Graham last played in a 4-3 in 2012, he was PFF's #1 DE in pass rush productivity. Also 1st in penalties drawn against opposing matchups.

 

Tension is high in camp? Whoda thunk it.

 

Speaking of defenses...the genius Heath Evans said the Panthers defense will drop off because we're "aging".

Average age for starters is 25.5 yo.

 

I kinda like when I see thought-out posts from fans of their teams, gives a better perspective on the fan outlook of those teams for an outsider

TD is 33. Johnson is 30. And the average still 25.5. A lot of youngins out there.

Man wtf we have Malik Jackson. I keep forgetting that. His tape from last year was astounding. As many superstars as Denver had, a lot of plays started with Jackson just DESTROYING the left guard and forcing the QB to choose between throwing early into coverage, Von Miller, or Demarcus Ware. He just has something in the way he uses his length, and can sprint sideways while holding the blocker in place with one hand, that interior linemen just cannot handle when he's giving his full effort.

Jags, please don't Jag this year. I don't want the word Jag to sound like it has a connotation with failure anymore.

 

Sounds like the Eagles are going to sign Stephen Tulloch tomorrow....makes sense with the Schwartz connection but we just can't seem to shed the "Demeco Ryans leadership" LBs.

 

Johnson turned 30 less than a month ago too. Like, that's such a weird defense to say is getting old because Johnson is the only one showing signs of age.

 

It's a easy talking point, but often wrong. Over and over I've read about the Steelers defense being old and slow because everyone knew Harrison and Polamalu were in it but ignored the the fact that most of the rest were still first contract guys. Now I'm reading that the secondary is "old and slow" which its not. It's actually young but still bad.
