I'm going to listen to Shone for the 2nd time today.

In all fairness I've barely heard anything by them and I'm tempted to listen to their album in full. Which I probably should before judging them.

I hate Shone with a fiery effing passion. It's just terrible.

I made it through three quarters of one song, and half of another. I genuinely tried.

Here's a scenario, where you would have to make a big sacrifice:

Shone creates 50 albums, which equals to about 1.4 days worth of original work.
Procrastinate! comes to you and tells you that you need to focus test this music and after you do so, Brand new will release their 6th LP. But only if you listen to this in one sitting.

Would you do this to get a new Brand New album?

 

I would say, when it come to having a passionate following for an artist, I'm much more likely to enjoy absolutely anything that Kensrue creates (or is a part of) than I am to liking anything Lacey does.

I'm not a huge Kevin Devine fan. Didn't buy the Devinyl split, or really enjoy Lacey's cover.

Anything Kensrue touches is gold in my book.

I've said this before, I think, but...

My hate for Shone is stronger than my love for Brand New.

 

I'd do it if I got the album plus Jesse gave me his blue Jazzmaster. But let's be serious - my ears would be bleeding and I'd probably be too depressed to go on.

 

Yeah I'm not big on Kevin either. Just not my thing at all.

 

very excited for the 10/22 show in Milwaukee. I'll never get tired of seeing Brand New live.

 

I think Shone are better than GP.

Pahaha I need to point out I don't agree - I was just fanning the flames. Simple from GP's album is better than the entirety of the Shone album. In my opinion.

When I grabbed the Greater Pyrenees album, it was right after a discussion on here about supporting a label "back in the day."

So I started to support P!MT, but then subsequently realized that meant buying Shone. Nope.

 

Fixed.
