Fantastic promo + fantastic character work + average ring work = cody sucks. I can understand why his in ring work is boring to people cause he wrestles a safe, predictable style, but i think saying cody sucks is pretty harsh.

 

A large percentage (imo) of fans who lament how boring cody is also call the miz the best wwe heel in, like, a decade and wwe made a whole storyline out of how boringly the miz wrestles. You gotta have 2 out of 3 things: in ring work, character work, promo skills. Hit two of the three and you're v good, imo.

 

No fists, just flips

 

Also I dreamt I won the lottery and started a wrestling promotion in Michigan and @Mick refused to write about me booking lio rush as a surprise champion

 

the New Day pod is legit one of the best things in wrestling

I think they've used Cody really well so far, but, as the company moves along, its going to be so obvious that his in-ring work isnt up to par when the rest of the company is top tier work rate.

The good news is that also means Cody is perfectly positioned to play a more Manager/GM/Authority type role as they move along. I think he's still got a few more people to put over before he gets there, but that feels like the right way to go. Basically the Regal role

 

i haven't watched Billions because Succession is the best show about terrible rich people that could possibly exist

 

Cody’s fine. Like I said my annoyance is the dad thing/wcw thing. I don’t think he’s all that boring in the ring.
