I wonder if they're just gonna continue with Shinoda on vocals or if they'll try to get someone else

My guess (& preference) is that they're now officially a 5-piece w/ Mike as lead vocalist.

Doing so eliminates a lot of their catalogue from working in a live context (outside of remixes, medleys, & guest appearances from opening acts' vocalists). But, if they finish a full album before touring, they'll still be able to pull off a really strong headlining set. And, I could see a Mike-fronted album sounding really good.

Yeah, I'd expect them to just go with Mike for future albums, but would be interesting to see how they do it live. They can't just not play those songs live, but I could see it being like you said, using opening acts, guests, recorded vocal parts, etc)

No Roads Left was pretty awesome.. Ill hold nothing against them for continuing forward with just Mike.

Have not listened to the interview but I truly hope they are not at all entertaining the idea of replacing Chester.

However, I would bet a band with a catalog as deep as LP's has a lot of b-sides, unused vocal demos, etc and if they were to be able to pull those together as a new album, I'd be interested in hearing how it goes.

No Roads Left? The b-side song from the band? What's the context here

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I'm assuming he means "No Roads Left" is one of Shinoda's best vocal performances (which it is) so he has no problem with him being the lead vocalist on new material

always loved his voice personally, I'm keen for this

  15. They'll be fine with just Mike on vocals. I've been watching his lives since the start of the lockdown and dude's such a talented songwriter and producer, as well as the other members. It just makes me wonder what style they'll pursue. I can't see them write loud rock songs anymore as Mike's voice doesn't really fit the style, unless he opts for rapping? It's uncharted territory for them.

Honestly, a trip-hop / electronic / alternative direction ala Breaking The Habit, Castle Of Glass, or some of his solo album would be perfect.

I mean, get Deryck to do it:

No matter what, I’ll just be glad they’re back.

  17. He'd be perfect. Spencer Chamberlain could work too.

Jason Butler would be the ideal choice. Yes, I’m biased.

Judging by that tribute show for Chester, Mike is perfectly capable of fronting the band for a whole show. I know they had guest vocalists but he fucking killed it that whole show
