I love the Blob remake... it’s got Shawnee Smith and Johnny Drama! Years later I learned Frank Darabont was a co-writer which made sense since he made The Mist and first show runner for The Walking Dead. I got the soundtrack on vinyl and it’s an enjoyable listen while reading true crime books

 

The Babysitter was so good. I got Home Alone vibes haha

 

Relic was so good! Saw it at the Sundance Fest a couple months ago.

 

This is page 666 for me, nice

 

Also, just watched hellraiser for the first time last year, think I mentioned this in here then, definitely the uneasiest a film has made me feel in a looooong time — highly impressed by how effective it was for a first time viewer in this day and age

unpopular opinion but Underwater was great, doesn’t try to be anything other than a fun romp with plenty of tension, great creature design and no bullshit. I had a blast

about to boot up the Lodge, have high expectations

 

Better Watch Out was not what I expected it would be. That was great.

I could do away with that very last scene though.

 

Loooove Better Watch Out. I went in knowing nothing about it, other than it was well received.

Hopefully they pull stuff from the Hellraiser comics and eventually Scarlet Gospels because those are both much better than the plot the movies follow after the first.

 

Halloweenies started a new season, this time covering the Friday The 13th series (season 1 was Halloween, season 2 was Nightmare On Elm Street)

One episode a month. I like to listen to and then watch the movie they are covering. So I’ll be watching F13 tonight

The Shudder exclusive Blood Quantum was alright. It was cool to see a Native American film.

 

I'm not the biggest modern zombie movie fan, but I was definitely interested in this one. Maybe I'll throw it on today

Watched Maniac (original) for the first time today. Didn't love it but defintiely had some really cool moments

 

watched The Wind tonight and it was solid

 

The Lodge was fantastic. It doesn’t reach the heights of the films it tries to emulate, but it’s a great attempt. Loved the ambiguity

 

My Scream Factory order arrived yesterday so last night I watched Prison for the first time. That was a fun and GORY ride. Now I’m watching House on Haunted Hill, which I have to add looks STUNNING with this new 2K transfer.

 

About to put on The Wretched. Anyone watch it yet?

 

Watching it tonight. Looks really cool.

 

I didn't love it, but it wasn't bad at all. Definitely worth the watch.
