Really shocked that NXT beat AEW again right after WWE announced those layoffs. Thought that would have turned a lot of people off from tuning into NXT that night

 

NXT only lost 1000 viewers from last week. This is probably the bottom point for their viewership. I thought they were going to get killed this week, but it seems they have about 700k fans who will watch it no matter what.

I also wonder how many people tuned out during that main event on Dynamite because it was long and really not fun to watch

 

I no fan of the no audience shows, but still, AEW Dynamite manages to be the better show rn imo.

 

Hager was a uniquely terrible signing for aew

 

It seems fairly obvious the NXT audience is pretty die-hard fans and just doesnt shift. Even when they got the Survivor Series run-ins, it didnt exactly explode up like you would expect a name like The Rock to do to main roster shows.

AEW seems to have far more casual/regular fans where, when life gets in the way, their numbers drop. And if its a bunch of lapsed fans as well, I can see the arena-less shows being an obstacle, especially since the AEW live audience is massive compared to NXT shows.

 

I think the in ring no crowd matches are starting to click with me. But the all over brawls don’t. You’d think it would be the opposite. Like maybe that AEW match could have been good if they kept it in the ring? Same with Gargano/Ciampa.

 

How was the Ambrose/Hager match?


I'm listening to his interview on WOL yesterday and he said he got really beat up from it legitimately.



He also breathes heavy as fuck into the phone and it's pretty obnoxious

I couldn't be a bigger AEW mark and i haven't watched dynamite in 3 weeks :(

 

Also, WOW Fink was only 69!?! No one delivered "and the winner of this contest/bout and.... NEWWWWW" better. Chills everytime. Made it feel like you saw something big. Big part, humongous part of the entire product for 2 decades.
