I was actually just coming here to see if you guys were doing anything in regards to the virus. I'll submit a track.

 

I’m not a professional engineer or anything, but I've been making music at home for a good few years, so if any of you don’t really have the tools to mix and/or master your songs, I’d be happy to help (for free). I can also help with some instrumentation if you send me chord progressions/bpm. I can do drums, bass, synths, orchestral, brass, and pretty much anything else with MiDi. Below is an example of my work, just dm me if you'd like me to help with anything.

 

Funny... I was also coming to this thread to offer the exact same thing. I promise I'm not trying to steal any of @Benjamin Lee thunder here... the timing is just a little ironic. I had posted this in the Home Recording thread a few weeks ago, too...

I'm not a songwriter. I just don't have those skills. But I've spent a lifetime loving music and feel I have developed quite an ear for production. So, I LOVE doing mixing and music production work. Since I don't have music of my own to submit to such a great cause, I'm also happy to offer mixing assistance to anyone who wants help punching up their home recordings! (Free, of course!)

I work primarily in Logic; which allows me to seamlessly import Garage Band projects! If you are using something else, I can easily take .WAV bounces of each track in your project and go from there. I have a large collection of pro-grade Waves plugins at my disposal and would love to be involved.

We can figure out using Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, or some other online storage mechanism to exchange project files. I recorded and mixed this album this past summer and I feel is a great example of my work.

I've got lots of free time on my hands at the moment and would feel honored to be able to spend some of time helping with such a worthwhile cause. Feel free to also DM me!

 

Hey, the song I listened to on that album sounds great! I don’t know how many people are going to join this, but I figured if I could help make some stuff sound better that I should offer. Having you here too is awesome! I don’t really care who mixes the stuff for people who need it, just want this comp to sound as good as possible. Especially if we’re getting some “bigger” bands/artists joining it.

 

Yeah, I feel the same way! If people are going to work hard writing and recording stuff, we should make it sound as good as possible! I'm just excited to be (potentially) contributing to something positive in this community any way that I can! Can't wait to hear what you all come up with!

 

Scratchy Blanket and Ghosting have both submitted tracks! Awesome! There's a couple other pretty cool ones that have said they will submit to the comp as well.

i hope i'll be able to get this done in time. gonna be one of the tracks for a short EP i'd like to get out by summer. first for this recording project.

 

re-recorded all the instrumentals against some drum loops, turned out better than I imagined. Having a tough time nailing the vocals right now though.

 

I've been trying to get back into making music, here goes another attempt!

 

I was thinking of contributing this new song of mine, but if submissions aren't due until May 1st maybe I'll try and write something better before then.

I’m doing a reissue of my first ep, think I’ll make an alternate version of one of the songs for this if I can finish it in time

 

I've gotten a couple more submissions from some pretty cool bands outside of the Chorus forums realm. And a potential yes that I think a lot of you will be excited about. Waiting to hear back on the final word.

Hey guys, this is off topic, but my birthday is on the 25th and with corona going on I thought it would be fun to cover Reggie and the Full Effect’s song 37 (since it’ll be my birthday, but I won’t be celebrating). But I need a few people to sing the “la” and “ra” chorus parts and this is the only group of people I know who could/would help me out. If you’re up to it, just PM me and I can send you a reference. - B.E.A.P. (the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program)

- MusiCares (Created by The Recording Academy to help peers in the music industry.)
