@Dirty Sanchez you ready for Ghost Recon Breakpoint 2.0 bro

 

My sisters birthday is coming up, and she wants to do a board game with everyone in the family (4 or 5 people total). Any options for online based stuff? I know my brother and sister are comfortable on Steam, but getting my parents to do it will be questionable.

 

Got the hang of Fallout 4 finally and it is v fun

 

I don't know if this would work for you, but I played Sorry a few days ago with some people via video chat. One camera set on the board and then everyone was on video chat so you couldl see everyone. And we just had the person who had the board control moving the pieces/drawing the cards. We also set up our board and moved the pieces to follow along a bit easier but you'd really only need one board.

So, not necesarrily the greatest option or maybe at all what you're looking for, but it worked fairly well and was a lot of fun. MIght not work for more complex games though.

 

Yeah, this is what the original plan was. I suggested online so someone doesn't have to be the middle person always moving stuff.

 

the jackbox titles are available on Android and iOS as well and they can connect to the same servers together.

some of them are even free and/or on sale right now.

 

this is really incredible and next level. knowing this accuracy is finally possible is going to open so many paths to VR

i haven't played it but i really want to. this is so wonderful

 

i hope they do a tech discussion on how that is done, similar to how BotW discussed their chemistry engine a few years ago

Tabletop Simulator. It's great, you can play anything on there.

 

Finished Alyx. Took me a little less than 15 hours.

It was completely amazing and extremely satisfying.
