For massive shows: WrestleMania 30 for sure. By far the best WrestleMania since WM17, and arguably the best ever.

For a pure wrestling show: NXT Takeover: New Orleans. NXT Takeover generally has 5 matches and they're all bonkers. From match quality to story telling on this show, this is one of the best shows ever.

Also like Slowheart mentioned: Money in the Bank 2011. This ended up becoming one of the most important shows of all time, and it absolutely delivered.

I also really love this past NXT Brooklyn. Gargano vs. Cole, Ricochet and Black vs. War Raiders and a bunch of other phenomenal stuff.

Figured Dana was when they pulled her from the match.

Throw in No Mercy 2016 for some quality story-telling matches.

WM32 was bad, but the 6 months that followed it were probably some of the strongest the company has had in the last 5 years. Really great stuff around the IC title and Heavyweight title heading into the brand split

And weirdly the indication is they didnt think they had enough time to build to Sasha/Bayley for WM. I know she was maybe sorta hurt around the Rumble...but, what have they done that wasnt worth scrapping for that match instead?

 

I really hope they filmed the mania matches like a movie. Fuck it. Give me special effects. Give me comedy and explosions and one liners and stunt doubles. Do something other than have 8 hours of wrestling in an empty arena.

 

The worst part is knowing that, by pre-taping, WWE could actually produce LU level stories right now if they wanted. And instead Im going to watch a 12 minute Elias/Corbin match with the crowd as silent as they would be in real life because WWE decided making two nights of 5+ hour wrestling shows was smart

 

The Benoit Dark Side of the Ring is absolutely devastating
