that meeting scene was one of the most painful things I've ever watched in my life. Jimmy doesn't even know he's a monster and it's heartbreaking

I noticed an inconsistency when mike is showing the librarian pictures of Lalo’s Monte Carlo, the TX license plate design on it came out some time between 2011-2013 (2013 is when they sent me mine)

Also, Mike later says the car has NM license plates. And that could be true/accurate since I’m not sure when/where the pics of the same car with the TX plates were taken

I'm 2 episodes behind because I can't go to my parents to watch it. I'll probably buy them on prime or something.

I love BB, but I don't think it comes close to the level of nuance this show has.

I think that was the best episode of BCS so far. I don't give a shit about awards - the whole concept is insane - but if there is any justice in them, Rhea Seehorn will win something for her performances this season. She's the best thing on the show right now. It broke my heart watching Kim in that final scene especially. Amazing stuff.

Funny, heartbreaking, poignant, gripping and perfectly made drama. A 10/10 episode.

I think there's lots of nuance and subtlety in BB comparable to BCS. BCS makes it a more essential focus of the show, rather than a fantastic supporting role, and yes, it probably nails it more consistently. But that doesn't make it a better show.

In terms of episodes, BCS has over a quarter of the show to go. I don't think it's even possible to be better than BB at this stage. You can prefer one or the other but BB is one of the great television shows and it's at that level because it had absolutely everything. Writing, acting, subtlety, suspense, daringness in plot-building, and perfectly gradual pacing that allowed the intense, iconic moments to soar, rather than ever come across as cheap, shock moments. BCS, to a certain extent, stands on the trust the viewers have in the writers, built up in BB. If the shows were switched round, with BCS made first, and BB the sequel, the enjoyment and the investment in BCS wouldn't be the same.

I'm just excited to see what happens next. It's going to be a bit shit waiting for season six when this finishes.

    Man.

Loved that it opened with a Kim flashback. Was hoping we would get Kim-focused season, and it hasn’t disappointed. Also Mike was in rare form flexing his skills.

How does it have a quarter of the show to go??? Aren't there only 4 more episodes and then next season left?

I think my biggest gripe is after Gus dies they tried to replace him with the Nazi guy who was much less interesting, imo they should of embraced Walter being the antagonist at that point

Totally agree. First half of the final BrBa season was just okay to me. It really did not need to go much longer past Gus dying, but man, they really stuck the landing

I do still think it's insane to think BCS is better than Breaking Bad though. Agree with everything @JM95 said regarding why it's the better show. Not to mention that Bob Odenkirk is just outclassed by Cranston when it comes to dramatic acting, though he is incredibly charming and entertaining

    17 episodes left to air.
    53 episodes total.
32% of show left to air. More than a quarter.

If I did my math right haha.

In terms of episodes it does. 46 episodes so far, 17 left (final season is 13 episodes). That's over a quarter of the show.

man the last season of BB is my favourite season so far (tho it still doesn't stack up to the best of BCS on rewatch for me). y'all wild

Again the nazis weren’t supposed to be “better” than Gus....that was the point. Walt’s ego(among other things) drove him to kill Gus. Then the universe was almost laughing at him with making his final fight against backwater nazis with no nuance like Gus. Also imo BB DID NOT stick the landing. The ending is too clean. BCS is shaping up to be a perfect show tho.
