I just like so much about Private Party:
-i know people shit on their theme, but i have that song stuck in my head soooo often and even got my gf hooked on that song
-their finisher is amazing
-mark quen is charisma personified
-isaiah's high pitched screams

 

AEW really made me feel good this morning. i work in the fiscal management division for NYS and we are two weeks away from the fiscal year ending and have almost no staff to work with because of the (very essential) workforce reduction mandate. im not complaining that others are home, im very happy they get to take care of themselves, but everything is super on fire for the rest of us and it's a heavy weight until April 1. i didnt realize how stressful it was until i got some wrestling comfort food this morning and felt so much lighter lol.

that said i disagree that the debuts were made cooler by no crowd. Brodie Lee and Hardy both would have gotten gargantuan pops last night and they were robbed of them. i literally cant fathom the crowd response to Vanguard 1 flying in and everyone over a few moments realizing what was happening.

 

i definitely, and sadly, agree with bigmike on this one though. "Crowds" might not be for a very very very long time. If someone said, "hey everything will be fine in 2-4 weeks, and by May 1, we can have live things again"... i would say YES, just try and stretch it out as long as you can until we can get that big pop

But...i don't think that's happening so unfortunately you gotta do what you gotta do.

 

oh yeah i 100% percent agree. i dont blame them at all for proceeding with their plans. it just sucks that they didnt reap the rewards for executing them so well.

 

AEW popped 932k viewers which is one of the top viewed Dynamites to date. obviously NXT practically didnt exist this week so that helped but it's just cool to see. the only non-political programming that did better than them was Real Housewives.

 

i really feel for NXT. they were building some good steam and are now sitting on their hands and watching it cool indefinitely.

 

Janela is on commentary for GCW with a cigarette and just said that the initial main event for Spring Break was going to be him and Chris Dickinson vs Great Muta and Darby Allin. Darby ended up getting pulled to do a comic con, so they were gonna have Kris Statlander instead.

 

Apparently GCW is gonna try to do Bloodsport and Spring Break during the same weekend if feasible.

The stir in the crowd as some realized and then it cascaded through would have been cool for sure. Hearing "Delete" yelled as it rippled. I still think it worked just because a drone is a unique sound and its so prominent in the original Final Deletion videos. Im also not sure if they'd have flown the drone over the crowd or not...

Brodie got robbed for sure. People would have gone nuts there.

 

ESPN is going to be airing reruns of Mania this year. I really hope WWE figures out something great for the show, because if they deliver two night's worth of meh, they're squandering a HUGE opportunity to bring in new/old fans who'll get the chance to watch this on TV without much other competition.

 

the weirdest thing I've noticed over the past few days on Twitter is how Bobby Fish constantly is interacting with two creepy fan accounts ALL THE TIME
