I’m so glad you had automatic gratuity. Some customers just need to be yelled at to get the message. My girlfriend works retail and until her work shut down (finally) she kept having people touch her and she’d pull away and they’d reach out again and she’d have to scold them. People don’t understand personal space, pandemic or not. Don’t touch people, it’s real easy.

I’m glad you banked money though, get it while you can.

One of my moms friends have her some N95 masks.

My dad said he has like 200 masks because there was a shipping error last year when he bought some and he never got around to returning them. He uses them for work (painter/contractor) but I have no idea the rate at which he uses them.

I’m scheduled to work basically the rest of the week. With a skeleton crew it’s basically guaranteed money. Also my manager saw me yell at this dude and told me she was glad to see me put that dude in his place. I can literally say whatever I want this week and I won’t get in trouble.

PSA: Please be nice to anyone in hospitality right now if you go out. While some of us wish to just stay home, we do have families and bills that need to be taken care of. We are stressed. I promise.

 

Customers have been bitching at my mom asking if she has more chicken in the back or whatever. She said on Saturday and Sunday people were literally barging in to the meat room (an employees only area) asking for chicken/beef/etc.

How does Bloomberg still have 10% of the AZ vote with 70% counted? Was in person turnout simply that awful so the early vote can carry him through? Or are the %counted numbers off and the Bloomberg share will go down?

Good morning, this is awful

 

My best friend and his wife are both doctors. A couple days ago he had a fever and a sore throat, but they made him come in for a flu test. He was negative to the flu, but he still had a fever, so the hospital made him work all weekend. When his fever didn't go away after three days, they made him self-quarantine...but wouldn't test him for COVID-19. His wife is still required to go to work because medical professionals can't quarantine unless they're symptomatic and/or living with someone who is a confirmed diagnosis. But, again, the hospital refuses to test him.

Our doctors and nurses are going to inadvertently kill thousands if these sorts of policies (I've heard reference of many similar ones all across the country). They're both distraught and terrified over this. But hey, let's test the fuckin' NBA.
