My cousin just landed in JFK from her trip to Bali and she said they're testing EVERYONE getting off the plane. Surprised NY has the ability to do that during this shortage?

Doesn't help the risk of her connecting flight to Boston.. fingers crossed

Pretty freaked out as I have no idea what canceling the school year means for staff salaries.

 

I know I probably should have stayed away but I felt like I had to do it

 

It sounds like they may try to reopen schools in April, but that all the testing will be canceled and there will be no evaluations for schools or teacher grades in addition to cancelling grades for students.

I mentor some LGBTQ+ college kids who have been forced back into bigoted/unsafe home environments because of this too...has to be a very widespread, unfortunate problem. Thank god for texting and the internet.
