The Democratic Party is going to be actively fighting against the working poor until the whole top of the party is dismatled. Perez, Pelosi, all of em. Come to lansing so I can punch them all in the god damn face.

Mitch and GOP looking to means test pretty hard it seems. CNN just mentioned a cap on individuals making 100K, maybe even 75k

According to my sister in CO, I guess Great Clips cut their days and hours drastically, only asking for 2 stylists working at a time, remove chairs from the lobby, and only allowing 2 more customers than there are stylists. So, if two are working, only four customers allowed in the salon

What's the point of even staying open

I can’t recall a 48-hour period that so thoroughly explored all the ways in which the democrats are a useless, dysfunctional political entity.

I'm not sure if this recommendation will work for you like it does for me, since I'm in a more evangelical tradition & don't have wounds from a more liturgical tradition. But, personally, I've found that more contemplative prayer practices have helped me a lot in times of anxiety, etc., whether I've been in a season of solid faith or a season of not knowing what the fuck I actually think about everything.

For something simpler, having a centering prayer or breath prayer or whatever (maybe just a word or two, or maybe something more like a sentence) that you can sit & repeat for a little bit can be helpful. If you look into this practice online, you'll probably find a ton that reflect theology that won't be great for where you're at, but something like "when I am afraid, I will trust you" or whatever could work? You could set a timer on your phone, or count the beads on a necklace or bracelet, or just do it 'til you wanna stop.

(For something more liturgical, I also personally like Shane Claiborne's Common Prayer readings, though that might be too churchy & theological for you?)
