I feel soooo bummed and helpless for all the people that can't work from home/are getting laid off through all of this... Businesses can't stay open thus they have to lay off their employees and shut down their operations thus making less jobs available for everyone. Ugh.

 

Teachers had to report to school today for remote learning “training.” We set up Google Classroom and now no one knows what else to do. No guidance from the DOE.

 

Sounds like we’re def getting straight up cash payments.

I’m not upset about it. Seems like it would be easier to suspend certain payments for homes/loans/utilities no?

An employee at a pizza place in the next town over tested positive and now they are quarantining anyone who ordered pizza from them. One of my coworkers just got a text that her cousin delivered something to the pizza shop and now the cops are at their house telling them they need to quarantine. Hooo boyyy

Those numbers don't include the thousands of people (potentially more) who get the virus and show no symptoms or get minor ones and stay home like if you had the flu.

I get the panic, this is serious, the capacity and infrastructure of every developed nation's health system is being found out as insufficient and unprepared, but unless you are over 70 or have underlying health issues you will be absolutely fine.
