Very happy that she'll qualify for the primary ballot now on June 30th (assuming it still happens then). To the Colorado voters in here, I urge to check out and consider supporting Lorena Garcia. She'll likely be the most progressive candidate for the Dems in the state. I'm pretty sure whoever we nominate to go against Garder will win, so we should try to make it someone that isn't Hickenlooper.

 

Genuinely concerned I have Corona right now.

 

They made hot topic stores work management only since last week though lmao refusing to close the stores until yesterday

 

that’s the current policy where I work. Front desk at an urgent care.

And in the ambulance, I was just informed the hospital we work for can no longer purchase eye protection.

I also recently got approved to get a kidney again! But that’s gonna wait.

Last Update was about 30 min ago.

Report from the nurse @6:30am was that was restless last night. He needed more sedation and more oxygen. His vent settings FIO2 are back up to 100% from 60%* (previous typo!). Most recent chest X-ray was a little worse. Still waiting for the antiviral Remdesivir.

Still intubated and sedated in the icu. They’re trying different meds.

 

My sister works for a hotel that is refusing to shut down their restaurants despite it having SEVEN of them.

My mother manages a small deli/cafe attached to a restaurant in NC. Her employer does not offer her healthcare. I'm afraid this means the end of her job with no way to take care of herself. It's the right move of course, but her boss will be fine, he's rich. His employees will likely be suffering because he's a huge asshole who only gives a shit about himself.

This whole thing is demoralizing on a level I can't even articulate.

 

You and me both. And this morning a neighbor is doing some sawing and it woke me up right when I finally was getting a good stretch in.

These numbers are obviously horrifying but one tiny silver lining is not seeing children dying.

 

My office sent out an email saying to distance yourself from other employees, yet they aren't having everyone work from home at the moment. I sent them a request yesterday so we will see what happens. Some of my coworkers with kids are already working from home because they can't leave their kids home alone, which I get, but...

My girlfriend has a haircut scheduled for a woman who works HR at the hospital where a confirmed case was found and her male boss said "wear makeup and look healthy and happy" and that he won't close until one of them gets sick

She barely makes tips and only makes $7.25 an hour and this is ridiculous. Really don't know what to do.

I want her to tell him she won't come in because it really isn't worth it and I can support her in the meantime, but what if she gets fired and has nothing when this is all over

 

I hope everything works out with her. As info, this executive order comes with the expansion of unemployment benefits. I know it's not enough but hopefully it helps some.

Apparently a doctor in Park City, Utah (where most of Utah's cases currently are) had 30 people come into his office yesterday that he felt all definitely had it, but he's only allowed to take in and test 3 people. So he had to send home 27 of them and had to tell them to just self-quarantine... This system is bonkers

 

Yeah it’s beginning to take a toll on my mental health for real. Not to bitch about life but PTSD from cancer, PTSD from the storm, constant anxiety from my student loan debt, and now living through a pandemic is really starting to take its toll.

Think I didn’t finally fall asleep until around 3 a.m. last night and like clockwork my three year old got me up at 6 and now I’m trying my hardest not to take out my I rritability on my kids since I’m at home with them during the pandemic since schools are closed. I’m exhausted to say the least.

And like an idiot I wanted the “real voting experience” and didn’t want to do mail in so I have to debate on whether I want to go vote or not (especially since I’m in Florida and as much as I hate to admit it I don’t think me voting for bernie is gonna matter all that much)

Not to sound cliche but adulting really is hard.

Edit: also doesn’t help that my wife works as a dental assistant and keeps having people come in who are just getting over having a fever.
