    Jesus jump to conclusions much.

My whole comment was based on the fact that I don't see how Self Isolation for the entire population is sustainable long term, and how government relief might be of more effective identifying, isolating, and supporting those who are vulnerable so they are not at risk while the rest of the population contracts it and group immunity through exposure develops. That way the at risk can be reintroduced into an environment where the virus isn't as active and the government don't need to spend billions/trillions (which they don't have) supporting the travel, hospitality, retail, and services industries that would likely implode leaving millions without work.

Not once did I say "Let them Die" nor have have I ever thought that.

Is that even in the realm of possibility at this point? Asking from across the country.

  4. It seems like republicans are definitely going to “blame the libs” for overreacting and fucking up the economy

Ohio has surprisingly been a leader in taking action and this state has a republican everything. If this ends up not becoming as bad as I think it will be and for whatever reason everything is good in few weeks I think people (mostly conservatives and libertarians from what I’ve seen) are going to be upset with the governor. They already are, so people will just think he overreacted and hurt the economy and caved to the libs. So, I do certainly hope this isn’t going to get a lot worse and blows over. And I do certainly hope Ohio elects some democrats next term. If one of those things should help cause the other, I’ll be ok with the means justifying the ends.
I don’t see this getting better though and I don’t see Ohio going blue anytime soon.

Pal, I have a 6 month old daughter that will not sleep during the day unless myself or my partner take her for walk in her pram. That's 6 hours a day we are out walking and if you've ever had a child you will understand the stress involved in trying to get a baby to sleep. Being restricted my right to walk outside for a extended period of time scares the shit out of me.

And to reiterate my above reply, I never said "fuck that 1.5%" or have I ever thought that. I just don't see how instructing an entire population to self isolate for an extended period solves anything apart from delaying the inevitable contraction (a vaccine is a year and a half away at least).

do you understand the concept of flattening the curve?
I'm not trying to be condescending just lazy to type it out if you already know what it is

I'm just going to ignore the total dickhead tolling me and point out that you can currently still enter the UK from ITALY without being checked or even stopped at the airport. What the fuck?

  15. our hospitals literally do not have the capacity to take care of people at this rate. Staying home is necessary to ensure those that are sick have a fighting chance to be seen and taken care of

So excited to show up to work and have dentists and doctors scream at me for causing this pandemic because they can’t get their supplies in 2 days.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

This tweet is frustrating. People are stupid and still want to go to their favorite breweries or coffee shops and it's not helping to flatten the curve, so to speak.

Yeah I work on a shipping floor and it's more than 50 people at all times lol. My friend manages a Starbucks in Georgetown and they've already removed all of their tables and chairs from the lobby. His brother works for another coffee shop and they called him last night and told him not to come in for the foreseeable future. It's nuts.

Honestly, I thought not but some returning UK citizens have recorded their return to the country and it is insane.

It's kind of a no-win scenario right now. It gets contained enough to flatten to curve, then the numbers aren't as bad and republicans will call it an overreaction (even though it really just means the policies worked). Or it isn't contained and thousands (even millions) of people die.

  25. I'm surprised people are stocking up on toilet paper so heavily and not coffee so much. Once all the Starbucks close, or none of us are allowed to leave our homes for a couple weeks, those coffee addicts are going to lose their minds.
