Wild. I just got into basketball and the NBA and this happens.

 

Wells Fargo Center has been closed to all non essential personnel

 

So Gobert player in Boston on Friday. I was supposed to play on that court this Monday. Really glad I skipped that.

Hypothetically if they decide to resume the season in April or May, it might be a good time to test some of the playoff changes floated around. I mean it’s going to be an unconventional season any way, why not try 7-10 play ins, and shorter series etc.

Not trying to downplay Corona, but just a thought that I had this morning.

 

I’d say I’ve been pretty cautious and nervous about the Coronavirus, but the NBA suspending the season has made it feel truly real.

 

A play-in for the 8 seed in the West should happen if they skip right to the playoffs

 

Probably been posted already, but damn can’t believe this could be the end for Vinsanity

 

I don't think they'll just skip right to the playoffs, seems wholly unfair to a lot of teams that were in prime fighting position. If they don't just can the entire remainder of the season as a whole, my guess is they pick up same scheduled games in 3-4 weeks once they can monitor this more and spend time figuring out the logistics of carrying out the remainder of the season with or without fans in attendance.

 

I think 3-4 weeks is very optimistic due to the nature of the virus, but I hope you are right!

 

I agree, but I don't think they're going to wait 3 months to begin playing again. I think the 1 month mark is where they consider just cancelling everything.
