Some dude that works in radio has a source and said: Announcement the 3rd and tickets onsale the 5th just like the leaked date of the tour said.

 

Doubt I'll be able to afford tickets to this tour either.

thought you guys might like my History of Brand New piece. It's 3000+ words long (and I swear I do love TBS). It was posted on Tumblr in an almost stream of consciousness format a few years back, but I took out (most of) the immature jokes and updated it a bit. Shameless self promo over.

I've had the mobile notifications turned on for their Twitter and Instagram for ages. Every time they post on Insta it notifies me and for an instant I think they've followed me or something. Every single time.

There's a part of me that hopes this alleged tour doesn't come within 10 hours of me just so I don't have to deal with the anxiety/depression of waiting until noon on Friday only to get shut out of tickets by 12:01 p.m.

Then there is another part of me that hates the above part of me.

 

I've never had a problem getting a ticket.

I've seen them in:

Richmond, VA at The National ('09).

Charlotte, NC at The Fillmore ('14)

• Also had tickets for HOB Myrtle Beach on that same tour, but couldn't make it
  

Raleigh, NC at Redhat Amp. ('15)

Tampa, FL at Midflorida Amp. ('16)



That being said, with the whole 2000-2018 business, this being a smaller venue tour, and I've never bought Brand New tickets for a smaller venue in Florida, I'm a bit more nervous.

I know when they play House of Blues it sells out quick. I saw them in Tampa too a few weeks ago. Last year I saw them in St. Augustine with Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine. It was a wet dream of a show.

 

it's not as hard to get tix if you live in the south most of the time. we're not the best market haha.

 

Yeah. I'm watching everything very closely. Would love to grab tickets for multiple Florida shows if the opportunity presents itself.

 

I assume they'll do one or two shows in Florida. That's usually how they do it. Who knows though? They could surprise us.

 

I just need Tampa, Miami, or Orlando.

 

Because that is what I was told from my boss who is trying to get tickets to the show in our market. Our station was told announcement Wednesday, sale Friday.

 

The announcement and pre-sale dates look/sound right.

I was away for two weeks and there are like 50 pages to catch up on haha. Where did the tour announcement speculation come from?

 

I think Jason said he knew of a fall tour. I could be wrong though!

 

The only time I truly got shut out of one of their shows was when they played The Grog Shop in Cleveland (500 capacity) a few months before Daisy was released in the summer of 2009. To this day I'm still fuming about it.

I've seen them 7 times since 2009 and haven't had trouble getting tickets although when I saw them in 2014 in Columbus, I was personally shut out (but my buddy was able to snag 4 tickets before me) and the BN/MM tour I got tickets but it literally took like 50+ minutes to get through that scrolling ball thing.

If they were to play, say, House of Blues in Cleveland (a very, very long shot) it would undoubtedly sell out in 2 minutes. If this is a smaller tour like the rumors, I think it's going to be very difficult to get tickets.

They've lost me in recent years.

Never been a fan of their live shows either, but that was mainly because of Tom.

 

I won a pair of tickets to go see them live from Kings Road Merch for preordering California. What's funny is I canceled that order haha. There are two shows around me, but both are during the week (of course). So I can't go because of work, but even if it was on a weekend I still doubt I'd go because of the drive.

 

Someone posted about an Idaho date this fall that is going on sale this Friday, 08/05. It was leaked by the venue who is having them. Someone then mentioned the fall tour being a smaller market tour which led me to asking where I work about it, since we're a smaller market. Turns out they are coming to where I am and I was told the announcement about the tour would be 08/03 and sale for tickets would be 08/05

 

Doesn't fit the Wednesday timeline, but Jannus Live in St. Pete posted something about a big announcement tomorrow that people will be excited about. I remember them posting a similar message a couple years ago before they played there. Could be nothing, but it's probably worth monitoring at least.
