I will just point out that I don't think they would release something as risky as a double album as their final work. Maybe they'll release a demos/bonus disc but not a double album.

 

A double album would be nice though.

 

Oh it'd be fantastic, but I'd rather the album be a standard 11/12 odd bloody perfect songs than 30 alright songs they've thrown together as a bundle. Not to say it couldn't be this huge sprawling perfect double - I just have my concerns. Don't know why.

 

I expect no less than a double album and for Jesse to be my best friend.

 

I always wanted a regular album this year and then an album of unreleased stuff in 2018.

 

They should release their own version of The Alchemy Index.

Fire/Water this Fall, Air/Earth spring.

 

If I were to be realistically optimistic, I'd think that maybe we will get LP5 this year, and as has been the pattern for the last year of odd releases, they tie up the lose ends by releasing the music that they liked making but never quite fit on an album.

 

Sounds just as good to me. :)

 

Just saying, that I never thought the Leaked Demos would see proper treatment, but then they mastered and released them. Not only that, but they went above and beyond for 4 of them (I'm counting Nobody Moves) and reworked them, going so far as to even press them on vinyl.

If that's not enough, an odd, one-off leak of a song called Out of Range not only saw a proper release, but like the Reworked demos, saw some actual mastering and release on vinyl alongside Mene. Mene, which is itself an old song they went back and messed around with from as far back as the TDAG recording sessions.

The pattern of Brand New, despite their current shroud of mystery, has been tying up loose ends and clearly caring about their fans.

 

Well said. Honestly, the last few months have been a great time to be a Brand New fan.

Not even about the crazy Reddit (which the guy clearly thinks is crazy too) theory.

I mean, actually, forget Refused, but don't forget they put out a a dvd called REFUSED IS FUCKING DEAD.

 

Yeah I don't buy that for a second. I mean that interview from last year a few pages back commented on the ridiculous air of mystery about BN, and how they've no idea where half of it has come from. I seriously doubt that they've given anything of what was on that reddit any thought whatsoever hahaha.

That being said, I posted that here just to have a discussion about it, not start a OMG BN fans thing so as you say, please stahpppp. Not again.

 

I definitely think they're having fun with it and playing up the mystery, but they're also giving us music we've been wanting for over a decade too.

It's leading somewhere. Maybe not in the crazy detail some are thinking, but I trust they're laying the ground work for something.

I still think that "You'll get it when it's finished." is referring to our understanding of all the 418 mystery stuff when they're finished.

Mike Sapone posted a picture on Instagram of Vin in the studio. Don't know if it was from a while ago or recent. Maybe not recent since they've been on tour - i dunno. It makes me wonder if the album is done.

Or if it's a picture of Vin tracking the reworked demos.
