Gimme that Waterparks/Stand Atlantic tour

 

When I realize if this happens I'm going to have to deal with Waterparks stans if I want to see Stand Atlantic again:

Tame Impala, Dua Lipa, and Jimmy Eat World aren't even hipster bands (honestly, what does that even mean?) lol. Not sure what you're getting at here. People are allowed to not like Waterparks on this forum.

 

I was just making light of how much vitriol people direct towards those bands. Particularly bands with prominent marketing/aesthetics & young fanbases.

But yeah, I love Dua Lipa & JEW, I just threw out the names of some universally loved bands on this site, which admittedly, has a very elitist culture.

But yeah, it wasn't a well thought out post, I'll delete.

People are allowed to not like bands, but its also OK to listen to bands that make shitty music. Waterparks fans be all defensive because the band's awful. Just listen to what you listen to and don't let peoples opinions make you defensive.

 

As much as I like waterparks music, I agree. Their fans are the worst group of people.

My problem with Waterparks has never been their music (I think some of their songs are ok, but for sure not my go to). It's always been the Waterparks fanbase, the fact they encourage their fanbase to be toxic, and Awsten just has the most annoying social media presence I've ever seen any public figure have.

 

This. I'm a big fan of waterparks, I've actually covered one of their songs before for a music showcase thing. However, the fans are absolutely unbearable. When I saw them in NYC the majority of the fans were not only teenagers who were probably 7 when Airplane Conversations came out but also tweeted during the entirety of the show instead of actually watching the band they supposedly "stanned." The fanbase is basically a smaller version of k-pop stans, and it's disgusting knowing that Waterparks could've been so much better.

Sorry, I am extremely opinionated on this and how AltPress singlehandedly destroyed the scene.

MIW and Knocked Loose looks pretty sick though.

 

Puddle Of Mudd are touring Trapt and Tantric this summer so hold off on any declarations like this...

Just saw the 3EB/STD show is $55 here after fees which is a big ol' "fuck that" from me. Wonder if I'll ever see Saves the Day live again.

I can't be shelling out $55 for what is probably gonna be MAYBE ten songs. Also last time I saw them open for a big band here (CoCa), they did a weird setlist where they didn't play almost any hits.
